Apron Chronicles in Abilene thru Jan. 2 2009

APRON CHRONICLES: A Patchwork of American Recollections, a renowned traveling art exhibit featuring 200 vintage aprons and accompanying portraits and text that explore the wearers' domestic experiences, will be on display at the Grace Museum in Abilene, Texas, through January 2nd.

The show has been touring the country for four years now, and earned lots of praise for its unique examination of domestic nostalgia and the universal experiences of a wide range of homes across nations and economic classes.

What feelings and stories does a faded, tattered old apron bring to your mind? Come enjoy this powerful exhibit through January 2nd in Abilene, Texas. Further tour dates in 2009 include Chisolm, Minnesota.
